Yeah, I more-or-less guessed the blending effect was PS. How are you creating the 3D text though? I know this can be done to some degree via Illustrator's "extrude and bevel," I'm just curious if that's what you're using, or are you actually modeling 3D text in some CAD based software?
Right on, good work. The shading on the forms in particular is really well crafted; I definitely assumed they were being applied spatially via lighting effects in a 3D modeling program or something similar, given that you "constructed" the forms and then shaded them manually is admirable.
One small piece of constructive criticism if i may; The turquoise/blue pinstripe on the left side of the composition might be more effective in emphasizing the traditional-to-digital mesh effect if it were in the original pencil work (or hand colored). I've seen a number of similar effects like this, which are always a cool transformation (i.e. MC Escher's "Drawing Hands" comes immediately to mind), I'm just suggesting that maybe since the transition flows from original pencils on the left to digital on the right, perhaps it would be worth considering applying a consistent flow. I hope that makes sense?
